Tradition has it that when a missionary has been out for six months, to celebrate that six month mark, he burns a tie. On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, Elder Miller has been gone for six months. In keeping with the tradition, he burned a tie.
It doesn't seem possible he's been gone for six months!
